Now for the second part of Becca and Joel's beautiful wedding day at Michigan State University's Spartan Stadium in East Lansing.  If you're a Spartan fan and missed the first part, click here.  If you aren't a Spartan fan (like Joel, who is a Buckeye through and through), I will try not to offend you with this post, so go ahead and read on.  :)

In keeping with the Spartan feel, we toured campus for their wedding portraits, finding loads of fun spots to play with their bridal party.   Campus offers a stunning array of amazing locations for photos... my favorite always being the old dorms near Grand River Avenue.  The arched windows and old architecture are so reminiscent of an old fairy tale to me.  It's very Michigan State, while also being a very classic wedding backdrop.  My goal is that years from now when these photos are being enjoyed, there are subtle reminders of the location, but it's not overwhelmingly obvious where the photos were captured.  I aim to keep the focus of the photos on the wedding itself and not let the location be center stage.

Spartan Stadium is home to MSU's Spartans, of course, but it also houses a lovely event venue in the Huntington Club.  There the staff puts on a world-class party, from the incredible food and service to the sweeping views of the field and East Lansing... there's really no other place like it in the area.  The space allows for a lively dance floor at one end and an intimate seating area for the more conversational guests.  It's a wonderful location!

Here are a few selections from their wedding day... congrats Becca and Joel!  Go Green!!
